In the next few months, PAL Campaign will become a charity based online retailer with a dramatically different business model. I am very excited about this new move and the love it will bring to many organizations that need it most.

This means that all the existing designs and inventory will be in its VERY LAST RUN. To expedite this new change, I am starting a “GOODBYE SALE” with all designs being sold for $5. No typo there… EVERY design for only $5.

One thing I’ve learned throughout the years with PAL Campaign is that colors are always a hot topic issue when it comes to the t-shirts I design. Although I’d like to think I have a good eye for color, some would claim that I am color blind, based on some of the color combos I have chosen in the past. What is the purpose of an event t-shirt? Is it to serve as a memory piece, for easy group recognition in a large crowd, to show off, to get compliments, to encourage group pride, to evangelize after the event is over, or worst case scenario… to use as pajamas or dish rag after its one time use?

Whatever the reason, I’m glad that Youth Ministers and Group Leaders are catching onto the fact that event t-shirts can serve one or all of these reasons stated above (maybe even more?!). YOLO.

In addition to creating at PAL Campaign, I also serve as a High School teacher. If I had a nickel for every time I heard “YOLO” last year, I would literally be a millionaire. Students used it as a way to be funny, as a justification for doing something stupid, and any other time the term seemed appropriate (which was at the end of every sentence).

But the more I reflected on “You Only Live Once,” the more I began to think of the saints and how they lived for the forever instead of the temporary. Everything they did pointed toward eternity, and that’s exactly why they live forever.

Even the best things on earth can only serve as signs for the glory that awaits us in heaven. So let’s live with our gaze fixed on Christ, and we will truly live forever!

We invited back praise rally favorites Clap For Poland, and first time worship leader at Holy Family – Paul J Kim! The theme of the night revolved around the idea that everyone is called to Holiness, to celebrate the light and not dwell in the darkness. We certainly had lots of extras like a step and repeat photo area with special guests Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson (unfortunately, or fortunately for some, cardboard cutouts), food and drink provided by the White Rabbit Truck and The Boba Truck, PAL Campaign T-Shirts, and featured organization I Am Whole Life, to which all collected donations went.

The most beautiful part of the event was the collective gathering of high school youth on a Friday night to praise God. Many have never been to a praise rally, and asked questions before the event such as, “So is this like a Christian rock concert?” Whatever notions they had all went out the door once we were gathered, listening to creative music, experiencing fellowship, and reconfirming the idea that was already burning in our hearts – the idea that we are all a part of the human family.

One of their directors was a model for a Dig Deep Water t-shirt photo-shoot, (The Limited Edition Dig Deep/PAL Campaign T-Shirt series has since ended), and after some e-mail exchanges, coffee and sandwiches at a local cafe, PAL Campaign started designing a few tees for I Am Whole Life!

Here is the first design in a series of more to come. They were featured at the 2012 March for Life Rally in Washington D.C.! Here’s to being Made Whole!
